Situated off the coast of Spain is the island town of Ibiza. This is the third largest of the Belearic islands. • The harbor of Ibiza town is a great place to be in winter. The harbor hosts the statue of 'Corsair Obelisk' - Homenaje a los Corsarios. Apparently, this person played a crucial role in the history of Ibiza.
• Various caves are there to explore on this island. Caves C'an Marca was discovered in the year 1907 and is supposed to be 100,000 years old.
• Remains of ancient paintings can be seen at the Ses Fontanelles Caves.
• While you are in Ibiza, make sure that you visit the The Puig des Molins Nekropolis. This is one of the largest underground tombs in the world. It is quite unique in nature.

Ibiza is basically a group of islands otherwise known as pine islands or pitiusas. There are over fifty islands in the Balearic chain and many of them are uninhabited. The economy of Ibiza has suffered due the century long isolation. Currently about 95% of the economy is based on the tourism industry. It is due to the clubbing scene that the economy of the island is very healthy. The currency on the island is Euro. Throughout the island shops accept major credit cards and ATMs are widely located. So, these are good signs and they are signs of a good economy.

Ibiza has become the Europe’s premiere tourist destination. After all, Ibiza has the reputation of being the party capital of Europe.
